Fans step out of the Bell Center after the Habs seize a crucial 6-4 win at the expense of the NY Rangers, moving into 8th spot in the Eastern Conference standings. The night also saw the Leafs beat the Hurricanes a satisfying 6-1. The race for the Eastern Conference finals is now tighter than ever, with only 3 points seperating spots 6 and 11.

Yesterday Quebecers headed to the polls to cast thier vote in provincial elections. Here, volunteers help out voters at the entrance to a make-shift election hall at McGill. By the end of the day the Quebec Liberals headed by Charest won, but at 47 seats lost thier government majority. The ADQ performed strongly, increasing thier number of seats from 5 to 41. The PQ, however, lost 9 seats to finish off third at 36 seats. Quebec will now see the first minority government since 1878.

Last fall, during a visit to my brother in Kingston, I headed to the (small yet cozy) Kingston airport to pick up a friend who was arriving there. Here, an airport operator has just helped guide the arriving plane to the gate.

Hockey Night in Montreal: Fans flock to the Bell Center yesterday to watch the Habs take on the visiting Bruins. They would not go home disappointed, as the Habs held onto thier 1-0 second-period lead to secure a crucial win. The Habs and several other teams are vying for the last remaining playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Staircase at Sauvé Metro station. The station, on the orange line, was inaugerated in 1966 as part of the original metro network. It bears the name of the street it is on, named in 1912 after the former owner of the land the street crossed.

Eastern Canada's been enjoying beautiful warm weather the past few days, and Montreal was no exception. With semi-melted snow falling off the rooftops, McGill puts out barricades around some of its building corners.
