Yesterday Quebecers headed to the polls to cast thier vote in provincial elections. Here, volunteers help out voters at the entrance to a make-shift election hall at McGill. By the end of the day the Quebec Liberals headed by Charest won, but at 47 seats lost thier government majority. The ADQ performed strongly, increasing thier number of seats from 5 to 41. The PQ, however, lost 9 seats to finish off third at 36 seats. Quebec will now see the first minority government since 1878.
